Description

Treated Pine R/S H3 is rough sawn pine treated for above-groun outdoor use. The “H3” rating signifies it is suitable for projects exposed to weather but not for direct ground contact, such as decking subframes, pergolas, or general framing. If ground contact is needed, an H4 treatment is recommended. 

  • Treatment: H3 is a standard treatment level that protects against fungal decay and insect attacks.
  • Usage: Ideal for applications like structural framing, cladding, pergolas, and decking subframes where the timber will be exposed to weather but not buried in the ground.
  • Finish: “R/S” (Rough Sawn) means the timber has a rougher surface finish compared to dressed (sanded) timber.
  • Limitations: It is not designed for prolonged contact with soil or water, and using it in such applications will lead to premature deterioration
